Architectural Project Manager

Our client is looking for a full-time Architectural Project Manager in San Francisco.

EXPERIENCE: Licensed architect or non-registered graduate with 6-10 years of experience, responsible for daily design or technical development of projects.

DESIGN SKILLS:

• Understand and use planning, programming, and design principles.

• Generate design ideas.

• Direct and coordinate design consultants in all phases.

• Design in accordance with applicable codes and ordinances.

• Design within project schedules and budgets.

• Generate and supervise design presentations.

• Direct the production of schematic and design development documents.

• Coordinate the selection of materials, colors, and finishes.

• Review shop drawings, material samples and Construction Documents for conformance with the design concepts.

• Supervise the review of design documents for compliance with program and design concepts.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Executive code analyses – building and zoning.

• Supervise mock-up drawing packages.

• Generate construction details.

• Direct the production of construction documents, Revit drawings and specifications.

• Develop practical, buildable details.

• Keep current with evolving building technology and systems.

• Understand engineering systems, coordinate engineers and other consultants.

• Coordinate the construction documents.

• Direct the review of shop drawings and coordinate project conditions.

• Perform field observations.

• Perform construction administration duties.

MANAGEMENT SKILLS:

• Understand contractual responsibilities, i.e., scope, schedule, and cost.

• Assist in determining architectural budgets.

• Identify out-of-scope services and assist in obtaining the Owner’s authorization.

• Organize and direct the project team.

• Maintain contact with clients, consultants, contractors and others during all phases of the project.

• Attend meetings and take concise notes.

• Assist in monitoring the construction budget.

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS:

• Respond to demands of peak periods without loss of quality, thoroughness and accuracy

• Adjust to changes in assignments, conditions, techniques, and priorities

• Participate in presentations and group situations

• Take directions and function as a cooperative member of a project team

• Deal with clients, employees, and consultants tactfully and diplomatically

• Accept responsibility and seek out additional responsibility when appropriate

• Meet company standards for attendance and punctuality

• Communicate effectively orally and in writing 

Full-time direct-hire opportunity. Hybrid in-office 3 days/week; 2 days remote. Competitive salary with good benefits. Mixed-use commercial projects. Solid Revit skills a must.
